Governor writes to Chhattisgarh CM, seeks action against 'rise in crime'

RAIPUR: Governor Anusuiya Uikey, on Tuesday, has written a letter to CM Baghel regarding " increase in crime rate due to alcohol consumption during lockdown".
Citing number of memorandums received in this regard, the governor urged for appropriate policy decisions to curb the incidents.
The governor, in her letter, said that information is being received from various media platforms that during the lockdown, journalists, officers, medical personnel, sanitary staffs are being abused.Uikey said that such activities reduce morale of our front line warriorsrisk. At the same time, there been a rise in domestic violence and accidents due to consumption alcohol . "We need to curb such incidents," she strongly demanded.
